The Avengers

Steve Rogers was a student in the 1940's before America entered World War II. He tried to join the army but was rejected because of health issues. A General in the army gave Rogers another way to enlist by participating in Operation: Rebirth. The Super-Soldier formula enhanced all of his physical abilities. Captain America mastered the martial arts, boxing, and judo. After his battle with the red Skull, a Nazi general, he was trapped in ice, and discovered 70 years later by agent Phillip Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.

	Thor is an Asguardian Demi-God who is heir of the throne. He possesses great strength which he draws from his legendary weapon, Mjolnir. His father, Oden, chose Thor over his brother, Loki to become the next king. This caused Loki to attack Earth, one of Thor's planets under his protection. After Loki's betrayal, he was cast off of Asgard where he plotted his return. Thor now stands guard as one of Earth's Avengers.
Billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. This sums up Tony Stark who is also know as Iron Man. Starks father Howard, was the lead engineer to the super soldier program which gave birth to Cpt America. Tony uses his wealth to build his iron suits that is powered by the Ark reactor in his chest. A brilliant engineer, Stark is the only member of the Avengers who doesn't possess a super natural ability, he uses use wits and intelligence to defeat his enemies. Stark known for his sarcasm brings the Avengers together to fight off the alien invasion, led by Loki.
	Dr. Bruce Banner is a world physicist who miraculously transforms into the being known as the Hulk. Possessing almost limitless strength and stamina, the Hulk pummel and destroys his enemies with extreme anger. Dr Banner gained this ability from gamma radiation poisoning from his attempt at replicating the super soldier program which gave Capt Steve Rodgers his abilities. Dr Banner sees this ability as a curse but will have to master it in order to become an Avenger.
Loki the master of Sorcery. He is the primary antagonist of the Avengers. Brother of Thor, he recently found out he wasn't of royal blood which causes him to act against his kingdom. After being cast of from Asgard, Loki roamed dark space and made allies with some very dangerous creatures. He makes a deal with them, in exchange for the Tesseract, he would get to rule the Earth, Thor's most precious planet. Unknown to him, he has drawn the attention of an ancient creature who courts death.
