FIFA World Cup begins Thursday, June 12, 2014, and ends Sunday, July 13, 2014.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is to be the 20th FIFA World Cup. Brazil is scheduled to become the fifth country to have hosted the World Cup twice, the first time being the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany are the four countries that have hosted the World Cup twice besides Brazil. Brazil was an easy choice to be the hosting country as it was unanimous decision by the CONMEBOL association because it was the only country to enter the bidding process.
