Aardvark

Average Height, Length, and Mass:
Aardvarks have a similar size to a pig. Due to their pig-like noses, they are often called "earth pig." It measures up to 2.2 m long. They weigh about 65 kg or 145 pounds.
Hunting and Diet:An aardvark's diet consists of mostly ants and other small insects. They only have four toes on each foot. Each toe has a large shovel-like nail that helps when they are digging through soil for insects.
Mating and Caring for Young:Aardvarks normally are very soilitary creatures since males and females only come together during breeding season. Aardvark young are called cubs and they weigh about 1.7-1.9 kg. When they are born, they are wrinkly and hairless but as they grow their hair will begin to start developing. Aardvarks will generally stay with their mothers until they themselves are ready for the next mating season.
Interesting Facts:Aardvarks normally burrow when they are trying to hunt for ants, but after that, they sleep in the ants' nest. The nest has great protection from various predators. Aardvarks are in a lot of popular culture. Most famously in the cartoon Arthur.
