Our Mission

This is a student website project. Our main mission is to design a website using any topic of interest. In this website project, we are going to discuss "The Causes of War and its Social Impacts on West Africa with focus on Nigeria. There are currently fifteen African countries involved in war, or are experiencing post-war conflict and tension. In West Africa, the countries include Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea,Liberia, Togo, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria. In East Africa, the countries include Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda. Wars affect peoples’ lives long after the fighting has stopped. Wars do not only kill but they also cause disability due to injury or increased disease burden.

In this project, We shall make effort to outline some of the effects of wars, and how it affects communities. By the time you finished flipping through all the web pages, we hope to have furnished you with information on how wars are started, beneficiaries of wars, and the social consequences of wars in Nigeria. War can be started by anyone, man or woman, black or white, adults and even children. Therefore, this website targets anyone who wishes to know how wars started and its social effects on Nigeria. It also seeks to reach people who can read and write, have access to the internet and a basic knowledge of browsing the web.
