What an upset it was. The New England Patriots were the favorites going into this one. They were undefeated perfect 16 and 0 during the regular season. They were trying to be the first team in NFL history to win 19 games.

The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 17-14. This victory ends the Patriots hope of making history with a perfect record. Everyone thought that the Giants would have loss but they prove many people wrong.

The catch that David Tyree made on his helmet when the Giants were down by four points. The Giants 3rd and 5 on their 44 yard line with less than two minutes. Eli Manning escaped from being sacked and threw the ball to David Tyree who made the one handed catch on his helmet.

They pressured Tom Brady all game, the New York Giants sacked Brady five times.

Super Bowl XLII was the most watched Super Bowl, about 96 million people tuned in to witness this great upset game. The Giants became the first NFC Wild Card team to win the Super Bowl.
