Rules and terms of handball
- Singles is when only two people are playing against each other.
- Doubles is when there are four players on the court and they make teams of two.
- A down is when a player loses his turn to serve the ball. If you’re playing doubles the other team has to wait until both players lose their turn to serve.
- A Short is when the ball is served and doesn't reach the first white line.
- A long is when the ball goes past the second white line.
- A serve is when one player hit the ball, the ball has to go over the first white line to be played. If it doesn't it will be a short. If it goes too far in bounces past the second white line, then it will become a long.
- An ace is when a person serve the ball so fast and low the other person can't even touch the ball.
- A lob is when a player hits the ball over the opposite player.
- A kill is when a player hits the ball so low that the other player is unable to pick the ball up to play it.
- A roller is when the ball doesn't bounce.
- When the ball hits under it means the ball touch the floor before hitting the ground.
- The game of handball usually ends at 21 points but if both players get to 20 points, the game will go on to 25 points.
