How to Detect and Protect Yourself From Social Engineering

 

how to detect:

A call telling you that you have suspicious activities
A call asking you for confidential information
A person that come to your door and does not have an ID
Be aware of pop up screen and unfamiliar E-mails

 

how to protect

If you do not recognize the person who come to your house, the best idea is to call your help desk.
While you are online you see that your mouse and screen are acting unusual log off your Internet connection and turn your computer off.
Never provide any private information because ISP should have your information already.
Do not send password and credit card number, Social Security Number and so on.
