Death Valley is one of the most unique and extreme landscapes in the United States, known for its harsh climate, stunning natural beauty, and diverse geological features. Located primarily in eastern California, with a small portion extending into Nevada, it is the hottest, driest, and lowest national park in the U.S., and one of the hottest places on Earth.
Here are some popular spots:
Badwater Basin
The lowest point in North America, this salt flat stretches out in all directions and offers surreal, stark beauty. Visitors can walk out across the salt crust to the lowest spot.

Dante's View
At 5,475 feet (1,667 meters) above sea level, this panoramic viewpoint offers one of the best vistas in Death Valley. From here, you can see the valley floor, Badwater Basin, and the Panamint Mountains.

Devil’s Golf Course
A salt pan area known for its jagged, rough salt formations, it looks like an otherworldly landscape. The name comes from a saying that "only the devil could play golf on such rough terrain."
