Beaches

St.kitts are surrounded by many beaches. There are approximately 45 beaches which you can choose from.The beaches of the Southern Peninsula of St Kitts have soft golden sand and the beaches scattered along the northern and south-western coastlines are predominantly black/grey sand. We are located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

Cockleshell Bay

Cockleshell Bay is a very long powder-white sand beach on the Southern Peninsula of St Kitts. It is about two and a half miles long.  It offers a splendid view of our sister island of Nevis, since it sits directly on the Narrows - the channel between the two island. Food and drink are also available.

Frigate Bay

Frigate Bay is the name of two bays located close together.The Caribbean Sea side of Friars Bay provides a splendid beach experience for all. The water is calm and the atmosphere is usually quite lively, especially on Sundays. Food and drinks are available. It is an excellent outing for the entire family.

Pump Bay

Pump Bay is a beach which has a mixture of shiny black and grey sand and is located in the town of Sandy Point. It is located on the south western coast of St.Kitts. Pump Bay is a popular beach among the residents of the Sandy Point, Fig Tree and La Valle communities. It once had a jetty at one time at Pump Bay where boats from the neighbouring islands would dock. This beach is a good place for beginners to get to appreciate the joys of diving and snorkeling.

South Friars Bay

South Friars Bay is located on the Southeast Peninsula, It is a great swimming beach with a long stretch of golden sand and calm waters. This Caribbean beach which is a favourite for both tourists and locals is perfect for water sports, especially snorkelling. It is also a great spot for a beach picnic or party.
