Get To Know Your Piano | | | Choosing The Right Piano | | | Minor and Major | | | My Experiece |
When I was learning how to play, I right away wanted to play every song that I heard. But that was difficult for me because I knew absolutely nothing about the piano. I think that's the mistake we as humans make. We want to learn things as fast as possible, and be masters at it. But we have to learn how to be patient, especially with an instrument like the piano. There are so many people who have tried to learn how to play piano, and couldn't get it. Because they had no patience, they got frustrated and quit. That's why I said that piano takes a great amount of patience. I myself almost quit, because I couldn't figure the songs. But I finally realized that I have to learn the basics first. Being that I have learned enough, I am now able to play for my church. But because I know enough does not mean I know everything. I still practice everyday, because there is so much more for me to learn. I know a musician who told me, "If you don't practice everyday, for hours, just quit." And I agree with that 100%. If you don't practice, you don't grow, and the next person who is practicing will be better than you are.
