Warlight

Warlight Screencap Origin: Warlight, © 2006 - 2012 Warlight.net

Rundown: Warlight is a browser-based singleplayer and multiplayer game. It's based on maps of the whole world; your job is to conquer it all. Gameplay starts by occupying a single country, usually with only 5 "armies" of troops, and then sending those armies/troops to take over a nearby country. With every new turn, you gain a set amount of troops in addition to the ones that you play with already. The more countries that you conquer, the more troops you receive each turn. However, as you are taking over other countries, enemies are attempting to take over yours. So you also have to defend against them. It gets much more complicated, but that's the basics of it.

My Rating: 7/10

I love playing the game, but functionally, it has some issues. If you play off of a smaller screen, the map and settings don't resize; you have to constantly scroll to see everything you're playing with. And the site itself is a bit bare and outdated. However, these things aside, it's great to both play by yourself against the CPU or play with other people as teammates or enemies. I reccommend it to everyone.

Oh look, it's a video.
