It's tiny, cheap, and full of power.
When you first set eyes on the raspberry pi you can't help but notice its size and then you ask yourself, this little thing can do nearly everything my normal PC can? And yes it can. The biggest draw, other than the size, it's the price. For about the 1/10 of the price you paid for you PC you get 512mb of RAM, an Ethernet port for quick and easy internet access, HD resolution and all this uses a 700mhz ARMv6 (same types of processors that Apple offers in some of its products) that can be overclocked to 1GHz for those that need a little more power. Using a micro USB charger (same used to charge Android phones) for its power supply, the pi comes equipped with an HDMI port and 2 USB ports so you can hookup a keyboard and mouse.
