Scorched Earth

A desert map that most finder very difficult for starter players. Scorched Earth was the first expansion released by Wildcard. They added 12 new creatures, over 50 new items, a new boss, and a whole new map.

Wyverns are the main reason of the tremendous success of Scorched Earth. They are extremely aggressive, so beware if you are going to approach one. These types of creature are of fantasy lore and this expansion bring us for the first time.

As you can see the amount of water is limited in this map, what I recommend is to find a place to make you base that is near of water. The reason is because you will be dehydrated very quickly, and another good reason is you will be able to farm crop with a water supply.

The Rock Elemental is another fantasy creature that it role is fundamental for PVP reason. The Rock Elemental is massive HP (health points), so that make it very hard to kill and hard to find and tame as well.

The Center

The Center is the second map released for Ark: Survival Evolved. It was released on May 17th, 2016 as free DLC . The Center features a volcano island, several jungles, a large redwood biome on the south, and a unique floating island that is found on the western part of the map.

Giganotosaurus, the game’s second most powerful creature, is found on the Volcano Island and on the Northern Snowy Mountain.

The map’s most newbie friendly areas are Tropical Island North and Tropical Island South, which feature mostly passive animals that will only fight back if attacked first.

Ragnarok

Another wonder map inspired by Nordic mythology, this map is approximately 2.5x the size of The Island, in terms of land mass, and roughly 4x in total size. Ragnarok adds several new creatures, such as the Ice Wyvern, Polar Bear, and Griffin

Griffin are the fast creatures, are they are not hard to tame however, it might take patient because they lose aggro very fast. For that reason, you have to make a taming pen for an easy knockout.

As you can see they managed to put everything from previous expansion into the ragnarok map and simpler however, huge at the same moment for me is the perfect map to appreciate every aspect of ARK Survive evolved.

Olga beach, is the place that you want to start if you haven’t play Ragnarok before. Olga Beach is notable for the 2 rock islands with plenty of flat ground, which are perfect for an early base.

  1. Lightning Wyvern: They are the most popular one because of the grand amount of damage per second their skill apply.
  2. Fire Wyvern: They take the second place because mostly of their appearance, they can be found in white, red and black. However, the fire damage that they apply is quite powerful as well.
  3. Poison Wyvern: they are the less popular because of their poisonous skill that may kill you even if you are riding them. That makes the Poison wyvern very unpredictable and in this game that is no good at all.

Everything you need to know about Wyverns

Three step you must follow to get a Wyvern

  1. Get a Griffin, without one is extremely hard to raise a baby wyvern. The reason is that griffin is faster, so you can pick the egg easier and outrun the wild wyverns.
  2. Made a size wyvern taming-pen, the reason why is that you will need to put to sleep female wyvern in order to get milk for your baby wyvern.
  3. A +180% crossbow, for a fast knockout and always carry with you salt to preserver for more time the milk.

Aberration

This is the latest and unreleased expansion form Wildcard, It is set to be released on December 12, 2017. Aberration places survivors on a damaged ARK: its internal atmosphere has leaked away, resulting in a harsh surface with intense radiation, and a plethora of lush biomes underground. With the maintenance systems of this ARK malfunctioning, the many hazards, creatures, and nature of the environment present a thrilling new world to explore and master.
