Our philosophy focuses on healing, wellness and relaxation with an emphasis on natural ingredients. All of our treatments are quality spa experiences. We believe that you can have beautifully manicured nails without having to expose yourself to the toxins and chemicals found in the typical nail salon. With that in mind, we have incorporated healthy product alternatives, along with fresh fruits, vegetables and essential oils into all of our treatments to eliminate the risk of toxins interfering with your well-being. In addition, we make all of our hand and foot exfoliants on site daily so we can control what goes into them, eliminate unnecessary preservatives and know that they are fresh and all-natural. We proudly use Zoya Nail Lacquers, a salon quality polish line that is formaldehyde, DBP, toluene and camphor free and is safe for use on children and expectant moms.Our Staff
Our experienced staff will pamper you from the moment you walk in the door. All of our technicians are licensed in New York State and follow proper New York State protocols for nail treatments and waxing. Before working with clients, our staff is put through a comprehensive training program before we can call them a Sweet Maritza Member. Additionally, our technicians regularly undergo testing and monitoring to make sure they continue to maintain those standards.
Polished & painted to perfection
Our spa manicure and pedicure services soothe with a warm neck pillow. Skin exfoliation and a hydrating massage are extended to the elbow for manicures and to the knee for pedicures, which also include a customized foot bath with essential oil. A paraffin treatment seals in moisture for softer hands and feet. Nails are polished to perfection with our luxury nail care services.
Our Obsession with Cleanliness
Your safety is our top priority. All of our implements are disinfected using hospital grade procedures and are individually packaged, ensuring your health. We use large, enamel pedicure bowls that are thoroughly cleaned after each use. Anything that is porous is used for one single application and then disposed of.

Mr. Kevin Guthrie, a maven of healthy living and meticulous manicures, Kevin Guthrie is well known in the beauty industry. He has been featured in numerous national publications including Organic Spa, Allure and Shape. In 2022, He founded Maritza's Nails Spa for his Sister as a sanctuary for clean, wellness-minded nail care. Striving to educate others on the benefits of natural nail treatments and toxic-free living, He opted to use only pure products, free of harsh chemicals and synthetics. It was also His mission to provide a warm and serene environment in which the busy New Yorker could unwind. Prior to opening the spa, Kevin Guthrie began His career in the hair industry in Jamaica, Kingston where He co-managed artists. The lack of clean, conscious nail salons he found during her travels sparked the idea for Maritza's Nail Ppa, prompting Hm to open NYC’s first ever Natural Nail Spa. From the health conscious, to the expectant mother, to the beauty industry insider, the spa has become the go-to place for meticulous nail and waxing treatments combined with exceptional service. Today, Mr. Kevin Guthrie continues to define natural nail care and has won industry recognition for creating a concept and a brand that is high-end, yet relaxed - natural, yet refined.
