Now that you believe that you are ready to buy a system, the question is how, and where you are going to buy your dream machine. There are plenty ways to buy the system and here are a few ways to distinguish where and how to buy them.
Prebuilt vs Whitebox
- Prebuilt computers are those that you see in most retail stores that have them already made for you. Some of these stores are...Staples, Best Buy, RadioShack, CircuitCity, and ect. They are build for you, so all you have to do is to buy it and is easily ready for use.
- A whitebox computer is a computer assembled from different parts of a computer, whitebox includes...custom made computers, homebuilt computers.
- Generally Prebuilt computers cost a little bit more, but is ready at your disposal once bought, but whitebox is generally cheaper but can take a while to be fully ready and operational.
Online vs Retail Store
- Buying online will always take a few days to get to you, but offers a wide variety of options for the type of computer you may want
- Buying at a retail store is the quickest way to get what you want, even if the option are not limitless
Buying it vs Building it
- Basic users, or users that want no hassle usually buy it making life easier for them
- Advanced users build their own computer, either to save alot of money or because its their hobby.
Appearence vs Price
I cannot stress this enough. If you are serious about buying a computer, your priority is price, not glamour. Of course, if the price fits, then you can always go ahead and buy a pretty cool looking PC.
