Quick Tips
Shooting Flowers:
Shoot from flower level or below the flower
Shoot with macro or zoom lens
Use smallest aperture possible to get the background out of focus
Shoot on cloudy overcast day, in the morning or late afternoon.
Shooting Landscapes:
Shoot with a tripod
Shoot at dawn or dusk
Use aperture priority mode
Focus on details
Use slow shutter speed when shooting water
Shooting People:
Shoot portraits with a lens between85 and 100mm while being 3-4m from the subject
Set your aperture at f/11
Shoot subjects on a plain background
Position the camera on subject’s eye level
Position subject’s eye in the frame in 1/3 or the way down from the top
Focus the camera on subject’s eyes

Use external flash instead of build-in one
Shoot a lot of pictures to have something to choose from

Use preset white balance

Set your camera to shutter priority mode
Use planning to get blurred background with subject in focus
Use tripod to get blurred subject with background in focus
Shooting Splash:
Use shutter priority mode
Use an UV filter to protect your lens from getting wet
Place the camera safely on a tripod at a distance from the liquid
Frame your photograph in advance so you can focus on the timing
