Classic Cocktails

Martini

Martini:

- 2 parts vodka or gin/1 part dry vermouth.
- Stir with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist, olives, or cocktail onions.

Manhattan

Manhattan:

- 2 parts rye or bourbon/1 part sweet vermouth.
- Stir with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry or orange peel.

Old-Fashioned

Old-Fashioned:

- 2 parts bourbon or rye/1 teaspoon sugar or simple syrup/2-3 dashes Angostura bitters.
- Muddle sugar (if using) with bitters.
- Stir with ice and strain over a fresh cube.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry and/or orange peel.

Mojito

Mojito:

- 2 parts rum/2 parts club soda/half a lime/2 teaspoons sugar or simple syrup/6-8 fresh mint leaves.
- Muddle lime slices, sugar or syrup, and mint thoroughly.
- Add to a cocktail shaker with rum and ice and shake.
- Strain over fresh ice and top with club soda, stir gently.
- Garnish with lime slice and/or mint sprig.

Margarita

Margarita:

- 2 parts tequila/1 part triple sec (or Cointreau)/1 parts lime juice/.5 part agave nectar or simple syrup.
- Shake all ingredients with ice.
- If desired, wet the rim of your glass with lime juice and dip into sea salt on a plate to rim the glass with salt.
- Pour margarita into glass or strain out ice and pour into chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.

Daiquiri

Daiquiri:

- 2 parts rum/1 part lime juice/.5-.75 part simple syrup.
- Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.

Negroni

Negroni:

- Equal parts gin/Campari/sweet vermouth.
- Stir with ice and pour over a fresh cube.
- Garnish with orange peel.
