Kratos Backstory

Kratos is a Spartan Warrior who was born in Sparta, Greece. He was a general of the army in greece. He became a God Of War by dethroning the past God Of War Ares. Kratos Killed his wife and Daughter by trickery of Ares which is why he saught out revenge against Ares. The oracle of that village Kratos lived in cursed Kratos to wear the ashes of his family on his skin which is why you see his skin as an ash white color.

Kratos went down a very vicious and dark path in greece which lead to him killing all the greek gods including his own father who was the ruler of olympus Zues. He killed every and anyone who got in his way. By the end of the trilogy of the greece saga Kratos had gotten his revenge but had left Greece in ruin so he decided to kill himself and release his God Power to the rest of the world in some sort of redemption for everything he had done.

God Of War Reboot

In 2018 after a long time with no New God Of War game Sony Santa Monica went back to the drawing board and rebooted the God Of War Franchise. This time Kratos moved to a whole new setting in his Journey. We thoght we had seen the last of Kratos but we were wrong. This time Kratos has changed his appearence a bit a full beard and most importantly he married and had a son named Atreus.

Kratos The Dad

This setting picks up after Kratos moves to Scandanavia in the realm of MidGard. This time Kratos is not as loud as he once was soft spoken only loud when needed. More importantly he has now a son who he is fathering alone as his wife Faye has passed away. She asked Kratos that when she passed to spread her ashes in the highest peak of all the 9 Realmswhich happems to be Jotunheim. This is how there journey starts in this game.

Buldur The Stranger

As Kratos and his son Atreus set out to spread the ashes of Faye (kratos Wife/Atreus Mother) a stranger appears at their door step. Kratos and him fight as he tries to protect atrues. The Stranger later known as Buldur was in search of the giant Faye which he did not know was dead so he mistook Kratos as her. Kratos quickly finds out that Buldur is Impossible to beat as a curse that Buldurs mother placed on him prevented him from being hurt or feel any pain.

After a lengthy fight Kratos is wounded and decides that it is not safe for him and his son to remain in their home. They continue their journey to the highest peak in all the realms. They come across Mimir who's known as the smartest man alive. They cut him off and take him to the witch in the woods to restore his head back to life. Towards the end Buldur finds kratos and Atrues again this time he punches Atreus who has a mistletoe and it's embedded into Buldurs hand breaking the curse Buldur has as not being killable. After the long fight Kratos stops Buldur from killing his mother and says Gods must be better than this before he finally snaps Buldurs neck. Freya (buldurs mother) vows revenge for Kratos killing her son. They get to Jotunheim and finsally spread Fayes Ashes across the Realms.

God Of War Ragnarok

It's been 3 winters since Kratos killed buldur and it turns out the him doing that has triggered the winter they call Fimbulwinter. The prophecy says Fimbulwinter leads to Ragnarok which spells the end of everything. Atreus now a bit older is trying to train with Kratos and prepare for ragnarok.

Thor

Thor is the father of two Gods that Kratos and Atreus killed last game. He is now on the door step of kratos and Atreus and along with odin want to settle a peace with kratos but as they soon find out it's under their terms and Kratos disagrees to this peace agreement and so they begin to fight. The journey starts off by Kratos and Atreus trying everything in their power to prevent Ragnarok from happening. On the other hand Odin is set on a mask that is known for all the hidden knowledge which he is obsessed with.

As they try to avoid Ragnarok it is qiuickly noticable that Kratos and Atreus have a lack of trust in one and other and this leads to Atrues going to odin to help him with his mask and also in return odin has promised Atreus the knowledge he seeks to prevent ragnarok. Odin and Thor make it very clear that they are aware of ewho Kratos is and his past.

Kratos go to Svartalfheim to free the former God of War of these lands Tyr. They get to rescue Tyr who is in the prophecy said to lead the nine realms on the attack against odin and asgard. Atreus has Giant powers from his mother and can see the prophecies left by the giants and one of them says that Asgard will fall and odin will be killed. Kratos however is very wary of these prophecies as in his home land they have been rewritten before.

Atreus is shown a vision by the giants that Kratos his father will die and he is now hellbent on rewritting that prophecy to save his father. He travels to Joutunheim and meets Angrboda who's job it is to show Atreus his future and that is where Atreus finds out about the Kratos vision. Atreus then heads home and Freya Abushes kratos and Atreus and after a fight decides to join them as Kratos needs to help her be free of the curse Odin put on Freya a long time ago Which prevented her from leaving Midgard.
