Welcome to the Shift-A-Ning this game was thought out designed and coded by me Tariq Johnson. The main purpose of creating this game is to make something fun, where the player is tasked with maintaining multiple systems while battling and fending of waves of enemies. I believe that I was able to achieve that purpose with this game, while maintaining a balance between said systems. I found this small project really intresting because this is the first game that I have created.
Along with this game being my first, during the production of this game I was forced to use a good portion of my problem solving abilities along with my experince with coding. My skills were tested when building various systems and running into problems with said systems, because I was the only person working on this game I was forced to learn how to problem solve these various problems.
|The Game|
The mechanics in the game is simple yet challenging. The player is responsible understading multiple systems. The first system is staying in the air, by moving to a new location using the shift key the player is able to reset their hovering time keeping them alive and in the air. Next is how long they will be able to stay in the air without moving to a new location, once the player is able to identify this they will be able to easily move with less anxiety in between shooting and moving.
Stamina is another crucial part of the Shift-A Ning, The player will discover the shield and stamina early on in the game. The shield give the player the ability to negate falling at the expience of stamina. Continuous play that player will be able to unlock more ablities that will be of use when fighting through waves of enemies.
