Case
The case is as important because it will decide the size allowed for the Motherboard, Cooling and GPU. The case is what houses all of the components of the computer. The above image is of a custom NZXT computer build.
Motherboard

Choosing the motherboard can look intimidating. The motherboard is what decides a lot of the computer components such as what type of CPU, GPU, RAM, and USB will be able to be used.
Storage

The storage is used for more than just archiving documents. It is also used for booting your OS. You will have two main choices when it comes to the storage either an SSD or HDD. *SSD recommended it will boot your computer faster*
RAM

Most custom computer builds are made for gaming or editing videos. The RAM suggested is based either off of your CPU or Motherboard. Please consult the owner's manual for compatibility. *16 GB of ram recommended*
GPU

The GPU is what will determine how well you would like the image to look on the monitor. This can be difficult because of the vast options for GPU. This option will mainly be determined by what CPU platform you go for.
Cooling

Cooling can be tedious depending if you want a hard cooled, water cooled or custom water cooling loop. This will also be determined by the size of your case.
PSU

The PSU is one of the simplest things to get for your custom build. This is what will be powering your whole computer. With most builds you will be able to use a 650w PSU. *Try to get a 80+ Gold*
