The smash universe is filled with countless planets known as "trophies" and within it many dimensions. The dimensions all lived in harmony up until a year ago when the universe was attacked by a supernatural entity known as Tabuu. His goal was to remove all the trophies from the "world of trophies" and take them for his world. However his plans were foiled and he was destroyed. Tabuu was no more...or so we thought. A year later we are joined by our main character Ness, as he is having a rather heated discussion with his friend Lucas. Lucas finds a legendary artifact and mysteriously vanishes. Now it’s up to Ness to find out what happened to his best friend.
