Ness: One of the four heroes bent on saving the world from a new terror in the smash universe: Ness sets out to find his best friend lucas who vanished after finding some kind of ancient artifact. Little does he know how dangerous his journey is going to be.

Kirby: This little superstar hero was just minding his own buisness until he was confronted by several unknown people. He later gets involved in helping Ness look for Lucas and goes forth to a dangerous adventure!

This powerful fighting pokemon felt a disturbance in the aura and travels alone to find out the cause of it. He later bumps into Ness who he mistakes for a target. After a few events occur he decides to join the team in finding Lucas, in hopes of searching out the evil threat.

Sonic: While running around having the time of his life, Sonic bumps into a shady character! After having his ultra super sonic speed put to a halt by what appears to be a disturbance of time, he is beaten to a pulp and was saved just in time by Ness and the gang. He joins the team just for the thrill of adventure, but what he thinks is a thrill is going to turn into an absolute nightmare.
