Arroz Con Gandules

The dish that translates to Rice with peas is one of the most eaten dish in all of Puerto Rican Culture. Ingredients that are used to create this dish can vary but majority of Puerto Ricans use yellow rice, olives and pigeon peas. Of course, there is always seasoning added to the dish to give it that extra flavor it needs.
Pernil

Pernil which is otherwise accompanied by rice is one of the most known and eaten cuisines in the Puerto Rican household. Some households only eat this dish during the Christmas time but others eat this on a normal basis.
Flan

This iconic desert in the life of a Puerto Rican is known as Flan. Flan is a mix of eggs, canned milk and sugar. The sugar is then caramilized into that liquid that flowns onto the plate from the top of the flan. Be careful though, if you eat too much of it then it can raise your sugar levels.
