Old San Juan

San Juan is known as one of Puerto Ricos most beautiful landmarks to this current day attracting thousands of tourists every single month due to its vast amount of beauty. San Juan was founded by Spanish colonists leading all the way back to 1521. This city is the oldest city under U.S. control. In todays time it is known is a commonwealth to the United States of America.

Did you know that El Morro that was built in 1539 protected Puerto Rico from attacks that occured on the sea for nearly 400 years? This is one of the most important reminders of Puerto Ricos legacy and its military history,

In the east coast of Puerto Rico is a small, low populated island that is covered in sand and the most vibrant water you have ever looked upon. In history there was a moment of time where this island actually was abandoned for Centuries and a location for pirates.

Roughly around 1881, this island called Culebra had been settled by some Spanish individuals who then started to setup lots of land designated to help the development of farming and raising some cows. Some individuals state that Christopher Coumbus was the first European to arrive at the island during his second voyage in 1943.

Did you know at one point in time the U.S. Navy actually used this area briefly to prepare soldiers for WWII?

El Yunque Rain Forest

Located in the Northeast Region of Puerto Rico you can find what is known as El Yunque National Forest. Although it is only roughly 29,000 acres which is categorized as one of the smallest in its size, it is actually diverse in its biological standpoint. La Cosa which is a waterfall located within this forest is one to see that attracts numerous amounts of tourists every single month due to its vast beauty.

Did you know that yearly this rainforest can recieve roughly over 200 inches of rainfall and is known as the US national forest that recieves the most annual rain?

Agua Buena

Agua Buena which translates to "Town of Clear Waters" is a 31 square miles which is in the Sierra de Cayey section of the Cordillera Central mouintain range. This city is onyl a 30 minute drive to the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport and a 40 minute drive to Old San Juan.

Originally built in 1955 a fire station by the name of Parque de Bombas Maximiliano Merced is one of the historic places listed in the National Register of History Places. The 0.4 mile caves that are located under this town is located to more then 50 species of wioldlife and have ancient Taino wall paintings that have been discovered as well.

Did you know even to this day Taino blood still runs through some Puerto Ricans?
