Are You Ready for a Dog?

Caring for your Pet

Daily Walks

I personally take Bruno out as much as possible. If the weather permits he is out daily.

I litter trained him so if the weather isn't good, then he is able to relieve himself in his own personal space I set up for him at the back of our home. He goes as many times as needed.

Most dogs aren't litter trained. So, it's very important to take them out at least three times a day so they are able to get enough exercise daily and can be able to relieve themselves.

Daily Grooming/Baths

When Bruno goes out for his walk, I always clean his paws.

He gets a bath two times a month, depending on how active he is.

It's very important to brush out dogs. Bruno has hair not fur like most dogs do. I brush his hair regularly to keep him from getting knots or matted hair.

His hair grows like human hair, so I trim his hair regularly. It keeps him looking cute!

Feedings

Some dogs eat once daily and are given treats, others eat twice daily with treats in-between. It depends on the size of your dog and their activity level.

I feed Bruno twice daily. Once in the morning and once in the evening. He also gets treats throughout the day.

I make sure he always has fresh water available at all times.

Veterinary Care

Bruno goes regularly to the veterinary clinic.

He gets his yearly vaccines including his rabies shot.

There they make sure he is healthy and his blood levels are looking good and he is free of any diseases.

Dogs should get yearly dental cleaning, especially small dogs that tend to have problematic teeth.

To have a happy and healthy dog it's important to look after their health.
