Things you will need to start building your computer

Most steps do not need to be in the order I have put them. These steps are my recommendations.

Step 1

Mount the motherboard, power supply(psu), and extra fans to the case.

Step 2

Then lay the case on its side for a better angle view of the whole case.

Step 3

Insert the processor(cpu) into the cpu slot.

Step 4

Insert the ram into the ram slots. If you have two sticks of ram put each stick in the same color slot for optimal performance.

Step 5

Insert the harddrive into the compartment included in the case.

Step 6

Apply the thermal paste on top of the processor(cpu). Only put a dot of thermal paste and do not spread the solution like butter.

Step 7

Insert the cpu fan over the cpu socket where you applied the thermal paste. Be very careful not to smudge the thermal paste outside the top of the processor. If you do mess it up, you will have to reapply the thermal paste or else it might cause the processor to overheat when you run the computer.

Step 8

Plugging in every cable from the power supply to each component. This might be the hardest part depending on how you approach organization. To do this you need to find the pin connectors on the motherboard, and fans. Having neat and tight cables will increase airflow in the computer and keep the computer temperature low. Keeping components from in low temperatures will allow the computer and its parts to perform its best at all times within its lifetime.

Step 9

After making sure all cables are nice and neat, now it is time to plug in the power button, usb ports and sound ports. You do this by looking for the hanging cables coming from the location of the power button or the top of case. There should be some pins not in use on the motherboard. The power button and the ports you want to connect only require one pin each. It is alittle tricky to insert because of the small size.

Step 10

The last and final step is to plug in the computer to a wall socket and power it on. Once powered on, you will need to install the os through a usb or cd(if you installed a optical drive). This is easy, you will just have to follow the steps.
