Tumblr, designed as a micro blogging site has become one of the emerging social media sites. Launched in 2007, tumblr now has over 80 million blogs that range from topics on food, fashion, music and more. It's an easy way to blog and tumblr provides countless ways to customize your page to your liking. Tumblr has also become a creative outlet, as most of the posts include edited images, gifs and photography. Tumblr tends to have a younger demographic as well as frequented by more female users. But over the years as its popularity has continued to grow, tumblr has gained a bigger platform and has been used by models, music artists, politicians as well as others, to promote themselves. Additionally, businesses have also started to utilize social media sites like tumblr as a tool to advertise.
