Streifing
Streifing is movement in the game, when you go to button layout in the start menu of Halo 4, you'll notice that the analog stick that controls movement is called Streif. It refers to the motion that your avatar can move, but that's not what I'm talking about. The purpose of this page is to teach you about motions that make you a harder target to hit. In perspective of Call of Duty, it takes aalot longer to kill someone in Halo 4. If you move side to side really fast while in a gun fight, it makes the mild auto-aim feature in Halo 4 harder to lock onto your avatar, making you a harder target to hit. If you're a beginner, over time you would have naturally developed your own streif. This wasn't a tip to teach you something you would have never learned, it was to simply speed up the process of you figuring it out. Look at this video that demonstrates streifing, make sure to watch the opponents and even the player who's eyes your watching through movements, you'll notice they're doing a side-to-side walking motion. Watch around 1:20.
I hope you understand what I mean by streifing, but if you don't, it doesn't matter because you'll naturally develope it, with time ofcourse.
Ghandi Hopping
Another form of a streif, it follows the same principal, make yourself as hard as possible to get shot in the head. Unlike streifing where you move side-to-side on the ground, Ghandi Hopping requires you to jump in the air. when you press down on the button that initiates crouch depending on your button layout, you should go into a crouching state. If you have your settings a certain way, when you let go of said button, you should exit crouching state. Ghandi Hopping is the act of jumping in the air and repeatedly and rapidly pressing on the crouch button, it creates a fish out of water effect on your avatar, making the auto-aim feature on Halo to not aim properly and confusing your opponent. I'll give you a little back story as to why it's called the Ghandi Hop, and no it's not because there are passive Halo players. The maneuver was created by a MLG pro player named Ghandi.
Crouching/Jumping
This is just another tool to help you survive just alittle longer to get the kill. What I mean by crouching/jumping is what you do at the end of your Streif. When you Streif, you don't keep going side-to-side, at the when your about to die you change it up, going into either a jump or a crouch. Either of them will drastically change the positioning of your body making you a harder and longer target to kill. The whole point of all of these tips is to try and make your avatars head as hard as possible to hit, since that is the fastest way to kill in this game.
