Major League Gaming is like any other sport, it has teams and coaches as well as hundreds of sponsors. The rewards for winning a tournament of a certain game is tremendous, ranging from the hundreds of thousands to a million. To become a professional MLG player you have to be drafted into a team, then you get access sponsors and and payed to play salary. The MLG network has dozens of games you can choose from including COD and Halo. |

Norcal regionals isn't the biggest tournament or is it the best, but it is a great tournament that offers everything that the other bigger ones does. This is actually a two part tournament that's held every year. The other part is called Socal regionals. Norcal and Socal actually stand for North and South California, the state the tournament is held in. At these events you can easily find the best players in the world in their respective games, so leveling up shouldn't be any problems. |
Capcom 25th Annivesary!
On December 8, 2012 Capcom celebrated it's 25th annivesary of their flagship game Street Fighter. To comemorate the amazing accomplishment they held a series of International tournaments all around the world throughout the year. The countries included in these series of events were Europe, Asia, Japan, South America, United States, Canada and Korea. At the end of the series of tournaments there was a main tournament held in decemeber. Though the celebration was for the 25th year, Capcom has announced they have plans for a 26th year celebration. The structure of the tournaments were like any other fighting game tournament, with 1st place in the respective game you've won being money, but you also recieved a free trip to the end of the year tournament and what is referred to as 'Seeding points' which means a player will be placed higher in the bracket of the tournament.
With Thousands of dollars on the line to take first place in a game featured in the tournament, you also gain bragging rights, the right to stay your the best in the world. Congradulations Capcom!
