Random Access Memory
Random Access Memory, otherwise known as RAM, serves as the computer's working memory
RAM comes in GB sizes. You can add up to 8 RAM sticks to a motherboard(E-ATX). The most common RAM configuration is 4 sticks which is found on ATX and some M-ATX motherboards.
RAM is important to your PC because it dictates how many processes you can have open at once. If you do a lot of work on programs like Google Chrome, and Microsoft Office software, it is recommended you get 8GB of RAM or more. If you want an ideal gaming set up, 16GB is a good future-proof investment that also allows you to do other things with your computer besides playing games. You can surf the web and look at a tutorial video for a hard level in your favorite game if you have the availible RAM.
